Soccer Game Preview: Northwood vs. Eastern Alamance

Northwood is 0-5 against Eastern Alamance since April of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Northwood Chargers will host the Eastern Alamance Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Northwood took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Southern Alamance by a score of 4-2.

Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance hadn't done well against Northern Guilford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Tuesday. Eastern Alamance walked away with a 4-2 victory over Northern Guilford. It was an even better day for Abby Brinker as she scored three goals for her team.

The win got Northwood back to even at 2-2. As for Eastern Alamance, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Northwood might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Eastern Alamance in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northwood was down 3-0.
