Football Game Preview: Akron-Westfield Westerners vs. Logan-Magnolia Panthers

The Akron-Westfield Westerners will head out to take on the Logan-Magnolia Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Akron-Westfield hasn't scored more than eight points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Akron-Westfield came up short against St. Albert and fell 14-7.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Logan-Magnolia duked it out with Woodbury Central on Friday. The Panthers lost to the Wildcats on the road by a 33-14 margin. The Panthers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Logan-Magnolia's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Akron-Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Akron-Westfield came up short against Logan-Magnolia when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 22-16. Can the Westerners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
