The Forest Hills Rangers are taking a road trip to challenge the Richland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Forest Hills took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Chestnut Ridge 42-9 at home. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nate Cornell was his usual excellent self, throwing for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.

Meanwhile, Richland waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Crushers onto the board and left with a 34-0 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Crushers are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Richland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grayson Mahla out in front who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 126 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Mahla a new career-high in rushing yards. Jamere Christian got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Richland's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Cody Yeager and Christian. Yeager is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another thorn in Bishop McCort's side was Brodie Hollis, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory got Forest Hills back to even at 2-2. As for Richland, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Forest Hills was dealt a bruising 44-14 defeat at the hands of Richland in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Thankfully for Forest Hills, Evan Mccracken (who rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
