Basketball Recap: Page Drops Season-High Score on Piedmont Classical

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Page). They were the clear victor by a 61-36 margin over the Piedmont Classical Bobcats on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

Page found their leader in sophomore Lola Vanore, who went 9 of 15 en route to 24 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Grainger, who posted six points along with five assists and five steals.

Page smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Piedmont Classical lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keniya Waring, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. What's more, she also posted a 30% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Alissa Lee also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Page's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Piedmont Classical, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Page didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-33 win against Western Guilford on the 31st. As for Piedmont Classical, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 89-33 defeat against Bishop McGuinness on the 3rd.
