Softball Game Preview: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. Groveton Indians

The Colmesneil Bulldogs will square off against the Groveton Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colmesneil has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with seven straight defeats, while Groveton will come in with five straight wins.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Colmesneil lost 11-1 to Corrigan-Camden.

Meanwhile, Groveton never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Hemphill 10-0. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Groveton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colmesneil, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Colmesneil came up short against Groveton in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 6-3. Can Colmesneil avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
