Basketball Recap: Ipswich Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Ipswich faced off against Whittier RVT on Monday. The Ipswich Tigers lost to the Whittier RVT Wildcats on the road by a 83-64 margin. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Whittier RVT was led to victory by Jayvian Rosario and Richard Tayag. Rosario posted 30 points, while Tayag scored 25 points. Rosario's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Artemis, who had 15 points.

Ipswich dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Whittier RVT, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ipswich has already played their next match (against North Reading), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Whittier RVT has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Northeast Metro RVT.
