Basketball Recap: Camauri Brinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brooks County over Lanier County

Brooks County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanier County Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-62 back in January.

Brooks County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Camauri Brinson, who dropped a double-double on 11 assists and 11 steals. Brinson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Priest, who posted 12 points.

Brooks County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lanier County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Brooks County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-37 win against Echols County on the 31st. Lanier County has also already played their next contest, a 61-58 loss against Turner County on the 31st.
