Softball Recap: Alvarado Takes a Loss

Alvarado came up into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Burkburnett Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alvarado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kanyon Barlow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Barlow is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Alvarado's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Burkburnett, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Alvarado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Castleberry on the 15th. As for Burkburnett, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Krum on the 15th.
