Baseball Recap: Desert Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Desert Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Temecula Prep Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Saturday.

Desert Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Westin Abarrate, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Desert Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Temecula Prep, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Desert Christian Academy will challenge rival Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Temecula Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe San Jacinto Valley Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
