Volleyball Recap: Ava King's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coosa over Whitefield Academy

Coosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the WolfPack from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Coosa's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava King, who had eight digs and four aces. Anna Francis was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Coosa's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Whitefield Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-14.

Coosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Haralson County on the 25th. As for Whitefield Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Providence Christian Academy on the 27th.
