Softball Recap: J.H. Rose Wins Going Away Against Hunt

J.H. Rose's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Hunt Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Rampants, who have now won 11 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Santana Sneed was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, J.H. Rose got a massive performance out of Michelle Jenkins, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Jenkins has posted since April 3rd. Ava Credle was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and two RBI.

J.H. Rose pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hunt, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will take on Havelock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hunt, they will square off against Fike at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Demons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.68 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
