Basketball Game Preview: Meridian Warriors vs. Centennial Patriots

The Meridian Warriors will square off against the Centennial Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meridian will be strutting in after a victory while Centennial will be coming in after a loss.

Meridian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Eagle, who was ranked 19th at the time (Meridian was ranked 20th). Meridian walked away with a 52-44 win over Eagle on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won three contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Timberline on Wednesday and fell 56-45. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meridian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 10-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Meridian strolled past Centennial when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 72-53. Will Meridian repeat their success, or does Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
