Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Phoenix vs. Burton Pumas

The Marshall Phoenix will face off against the Burton Pumas at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Burton will be up against a hot Marshall team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Marshall breezed past San Francisco International to the tune of 69-41 on Monday. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Martel Peters, who went 7 of 17 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Marcel Anderson, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

As for Marshall, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
