The Taylor Ducks will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Burton Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Taylor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 68-45 margin over La Grange. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, as Taylor did.
Taylor's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kionayh Rivers, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Asia Zachary was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Burton scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They took down Brazos Christian 68-53. The win was nothing new for Burton as they're now sitting on five straight.
Taylor's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Burton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1.
