After a string of three wins, Troy Christian's good fortune finally ran out. They took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newton Local.
Despite the loss, Troy Christian saw an underclassman step up: Karis Miller scored eight points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Reign Wilkins, who scored four points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Dayton Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Ponitz Career Tech back in December of 2023, taking the game 54-42.
Troy Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Dayton Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Troy Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Dayton Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2021, winning 50-37. Will Troy Christian repeat their success, or does Dayton Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
