St. Charles will take on the Great Mills Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Charles is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.

St. Charles is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Thomas Stone: they outscored them in every quarter. St. Charles blew past Thomas Stone 48-28 on Friday. Given St. Charles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Thomas Stone is ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Charles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaela Spears, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyoko Johnson-Reeves, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

St. Charles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 31 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Great Mills didn't have too much trouble with Chopticon on Tuesday as they won 52-34. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won seven in a row.

St. Charles pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points over those games. As for Great Mills, their record now sits at 11-8.

Everything came up roses for St. Charles against Great Mills in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 60-28 win. In that contest, St. Charles amassed a halftime lead of 35-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
