The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cascade of the 58-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Hess, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Austin Foley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Southmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
