Volleyball Recap: Greene County Comes Up Short

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lake Oconee Academy Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-5.

Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Greene County will square off against East Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they will face off against Alcovy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
