Volleyball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Oconee Academy Titans. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Titans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-5.

Lake Oconee Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Dimascio led the charge by getting ten assists and seven aces. Another player making a difference was Jolie Chamberlain, who had six aces.

Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Coming up, Greene County is taking a road trip to challenge East Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they will host Alcovy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
