Recap: Ben Lomond Scots vs. Morgan Trojans
The Ben Lomond Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Morgan 63-58. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ben Lomond in their matchups with Morgan: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Scots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake East, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. East is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Harrison, who scored 15 points.
Ben Lomond has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Morgan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will square off against South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Summit knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Ben Lomond likes a good challenge. As for Morgan, they will head out on the road to face off against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Ogden is ranked 50th, while Morgan is ranked 62nd).
