Softball Recap: Columbia's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Columbia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Waterloo Vikings on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won four games in a row.

Sadie Schulke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Arvieanna Rodgers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Waterloo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

As of now, neither Columbia nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
