Soccer Recap: Abundant Life Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Abundant Life Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the King's Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, Abundant Life Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while King's Christian is ranked 89th).

Abundant Life Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for King's Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Abundant Life Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Veritas Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, King's Christian will take on rival The Pilgrim Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
