Volleyball Recap: Cedar Bluffs Comes Up Short

The Cedar Bluffs Wildcats came up short against the Centennial Broncos on Monday and fell 3-1.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Bluffs saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kora Allmendinger had 12 digs and two aces.

Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Luebbe led the charge by getting four digs and three aces. Luebbe has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played. Dakota Butzke was another key player, getting 19 assists and seven digs.

Cedar Bluffs' loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Centennial, they moved to 4-24 with that victory, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

Cedar Bluffs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centennial, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Freeman on the 27th.
