Volleyball Game Preview: Thornton Trojans vs. Adams City Eagles

The Thornton Trojans will face off against the Adams City Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Thornton came up short against Smoky Hill on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Adams City lost 3-0 to Aurora West College Prep Academy on Thursday.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Adams City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Thornton was able to grind out a solid win over Adams City in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
