Basketball Game Preview: Monroeville Eagles vs. Western Reserve Roughriders

Monroeville is 2-8 against Western Reserve since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Monroeville Eagles will welcome the Western Reserve Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Western Reserve will be up against a hot Monroeville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Monroeville came out on top against Buckeye Central by a score of 59-48 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve strolled past Wellington with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 61-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Roughriders.

Western Reserve's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Monroeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
