Volleyball Recap: Colby Gets the Win

Colby's tournament run continued when they took on Tomah on Saturday. The Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Timberwolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Daelyn Rieck paced Colby's offense, picking up ten kills. Rieck got some help from Zoe Kaiser and her ten assists. Rieck was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Tomah still got an impressive performance from Delaney Spolum, who had eight digs and three assists.

The win got Colby back to even at 11-11. As for Tomah, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Colby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Mauston on the 20th. As for Tomah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against La Crosse Central on the 23rd.
