Reed City scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 78-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri County Area Vikings. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Tri County Area got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Preston Pifer out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pifer a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Button, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points.

Reed City dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Tri County Area, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.
