Boulder City had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Canyon Springs Pioneers a 15-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-0 on April 8th.

Rhiley Beck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Baylee Cook was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kylie Czubernat, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Boulder City pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Boulder City will challenge Virgin Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups. As for Canyon Springs, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Pahrump Valley on the 28th.
