Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Molina

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Hillcrest duke it out with Molina at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Molina will be up against a hot Hillcrest team: the squad just extended their winning streak to ten. Hillcrest was the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Jefferson on Monday. The score was close at the half, but the Panthers pulled away in the second half with five goals.

Meanwhile, Molina kept a clean sheet against Adamson on Monday. They put the hurt on the Leopards with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won five in a row.

Molina's offense was hitting Adamson from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Silvia Ramos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Hillcrest's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six matches. As for Molina, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
