Softball Recap: Wade Hampton Takes a Loss

Wade Hampton lost against Spartanburg back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Generals took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wade Hampton got a big performance out of Sanaii Rivers, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Breleigh Betsill was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Wade Hampton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Spartanburg, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wade Hampton is set to take on their familiar foe Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Spartanburg will face off against rival Dorman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
