River Forest dropped down to 7-2 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-2 to the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Ingots, who until this game were averaging three runs allowed.

As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games.

For Hammond Bishop Noll's part, Rey Servin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Servin was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hammond Bishop Noll let Aston Orozco and Isaac Lopez run wild. Orozco went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Lopez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Orozco has become a key player for Hammond Bishop Noll: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ajay Peterson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ingots 3, the Vikings 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hammond Bishop Noll will face off against rival Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
