Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

If Notre Dame was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Symmes Valley on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the Wheelersburg Pirates on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-17.

Mylee Gleim was nothing short of spectacular for Wheelersburg: she had 18 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Gleim a new career-high.

Notre Dame now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wheelersburg, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will host Western at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheelersburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
