Basketball Recap: Denver Waldorf's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Denver Waldorf proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Arickaree Bison out 51-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Denver Waldorf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cayden Quinn, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Henry Lottridge, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zarron Skubal, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Skubal a new career-high in points. Dillon Noletubby was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Denver Waldorf, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. As for Arickaree, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver Waldorf will challenge Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arickaree, they will face off against Lone Star at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arickaree is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
