After a string of four wins, San Diego's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Badgers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vaqueros this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-29 on January 3rd.

San Diego's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-7. As for Bishop, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

San Diego and Bishop should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. San Diego (ranked 509th) will meet Falfurrias (ranked 1530th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Bishop will face off against Hebbronville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 1,190 places (347 vs. 1537).
