Volleyball Recap: East Forsyth Falls Despite Big Games from Samantha Brito and Kayla Meekins + How To Watch

East Forsyth was the 3-2 winner over Page when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Pirates on Wednesday.

While East Forsyth ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, East Forsyth had strong showings from Kayla Meekins, who had 14 digs and three assists, and Samantha Brito, who had 15 assists and two aces. Those assists were Meekins' first of the season.

Leading Page to victory were Goergia Pope and Isabelle Snyder. Pope had 13 digs and four aces, while Snyder had 22 digs and two assists. Those 22 digs gave Snyder a new career-high.

East Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Page, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

East Forsyth has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against R.J. Reynolds on the 18th. As for Page, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dudley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
