It was a good run, but Luverne unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brantley Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Luverne's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Brantley, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Coming up, Luverne will square off against Zion Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brantley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Straughn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
