Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton lost against Germantown back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hamilton Chargers were dealt a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Germantown Warhawks. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Germantown was led to victory by Madeline Jakusz and Danica Gosz. Jakusz almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards, while Gosz went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Jakusz now owns an excellent 45% shooting accuracy. Jaycee Mani was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Hamilton has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Germantown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will square off against Menomonee Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Menomonee Falls will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Germantown, they will face off against Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
