Stafford is a perfect 10-0 against La Marque since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Stafford Spartans will be playing at home against the La Marque Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Stafford came up short against Sealy on Tuesday, falling 20-3. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Mya Bowman was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, La Marque lost 18-8 to Almeta Crawford on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anaiyah Joseph and Kamori Walker stepped up to the plate in a big way. Joseph scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Walker scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Walker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexa Loubet, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, La Marque always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .583 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Stafford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like La Marque struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Stafford's way against La Marque when the teams last played back in February, as Stafford made off with a 10-2 win. Will Stafford repeat their success, or does La Marque have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
