Softball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short

Concordia Lutheran fell victim to HCYA and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to HCYA. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Crusaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Concordia Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Keiper, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Keiper's first of the season.

Concordia Lutheran now has a losing record of 2-3. As for HCYA, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concordia Lutheran will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Second Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for HCYA, they will venture away from home to challenge Clear Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clear Falls has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while HCYA will come in with three straight victories.
