Volleyball Game Preview: Chico Panthers vs. Foothill Cougars + How To Watch

Chico hasn't had much luck against Foothill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Chico will be strutting in after a victory while Foothill will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Chico got the win against Red Bluff by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

While Chico won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Foothill came up short against Shasta on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolves 25-14 in the first set.

Foothill actually scored more points across those four sets (97-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-21, 25-22, 31-29.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Chico, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Chico suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Foothill when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
