Softball Preview: Southridge Raiders vs. North Posey Vikings
Southridge is 1-7 against North Posey since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Southridge Raiders will head out on the road to take on the North Posey Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Southridge's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage Hills and snuck past 1-0. Despite the victory, that was the fewest runs Southridge has scored all season.
Meanwhile, North Posey had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 3-0.
Not much got past Addie Fullop, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Evansville North off the board. Fullop has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
