Basketball Recap: Madison Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Madison had won two straight home games and Juliana Davis did her part to make it three on Friday. The Madison Cubs walked away with a 54-43 win over the North Decatur Chargers thanks in part to Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Madison's points.

When it comes to explaining why North Decatur lost, don't look at Madi Allen. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards. Allen is becoming a predictor of North Decatur's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 7-2 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Kelsey Haley was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for North Decatur, they moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Madison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-30 win against Southwestern on the 28th. As for North Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-23 victory against Hauser on the 28th.
