After flying high against First Assembly Christian last Saturday, Mt. Pleasant Christian came back down to earth. The Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions fell to the Life Christian Academy Lions 53-47. Mt. Pleasant Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Life Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Mt. Pleasant Christian still got an impressive performance from Jon Caden Moon, who had 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Bainbridge, who had eight points plus 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mt. Pleasant Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.
Mt. Pleasant Christian now has a losing record at 1-2.
Mt. Pleasant Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocket City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Life Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Lancaster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
