Softball Preview: Chatfield Chargers vs. Legacy Lightning
Chatfield is 0-3 against Legacy since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Chatfield Chargers will welcome the Legacy Lightning at 10:00 a.m. Chatfield will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
Last Wednesday, Chatfield made easy work of ThunderRidge and carried off a 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won three matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Isabella Leech made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Leech was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.

Prisca Smolens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Dingman, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Chatfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Legacy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
