Soccer Recap: Eastern Mennonite Falls Short Against Ranked Fredericksburg Academy

Eastern Mennonite faced Fredericksburg Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Flames fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Eastern Mennonite have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Joey Fink, who's now up to seven this season.

Eastern Mennonite has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season. As for Fredericksburg Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Eastern Mennonite will host Virginia Episcopal School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fredericksburg Academy, they will head out to take on Quantico at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
