Volleyball Recap: Blackstone-Millville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Blackstone-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the New Mission Titans. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 25-21 in the first set.

Blackstone-Millville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 29-27, 25-11, 25-16.

Loss or not, Blackstone-Millville got some senior leadership from Alyssa Millette and Brenna Kotsianas. Millette had four aces, three digs, and one block, while Kotsianas had four aces and one block. Kotsianas is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miya Gagne, who had six digs and two aces.

Blackstone-Millville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for New Mission, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Blackstone-Millville will venture away from home to square off against Academy of the Pacific Rim at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Mission, they will head out to face off against Boston Latin Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
