Softball Game Preview: Interlachen Rams vs. Newberry Panthers

The Interlachen Rams will challenge the Newberry Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Interlachen is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Interlachen came up short against Taylor on Monday, falling 13-4.

Interlachen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dyana Valdez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Newberry got themselves on the board against Bell on Thursday, but Bell never followed suit. They skirted past the Bulldogs 2-0.

The team relied heavily on Madison Rodgers, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Interlachen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Newberry, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Interlachen has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Newberry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
