Basketball Game Preview: Sipsey Valley Bears vs. Wenonah Dragons

The Sipsey Valley Bears will challenge the Wenonah Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Sipsey Valley came up short against Brookwood and fell 63-52. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly 11 points.

Meanwhile, Wenonah strolled past John Carroll Catholic with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 87-72. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wenonah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Sipsey Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9.
