Basketball Recap: Mark Morris Comes Up Short

Mark Morris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Columbia River Rapids, falling 68-43. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Rapids are ranked 90th).

Mark Morris' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Columbia River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mark Morris is set to square off against their familiar foe Hockinson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Columbia River will face off against rival Hudson's Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
