Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lafayette Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southside Sharks. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Lafayette Christian Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Southside, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Lafayette Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ascension Catholic on the 20th. As for Southside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Houma Christian on the 20th.
